ABOUT US

The Bolton Figure Skating Club is a CT based club founded to promote and share our passion for ice skating.

The purpose of the club is to encourage and support figure skating and to maintain uniform standards of skating proficiency, as well as to encourage personal growth with competitions, ice shows, exhibitions, and testing.

The BFSC has highly qualified coaches with expertise in Moves in the Field, Singles, Pairs and Ice Dancing. Our Club skaters have won medals in many New England competitions, and represent the Club at the Nutmeg State Games each summer.

As a member of the club, skaters have the opportunity to skate in the Annual Ice Show, attend club functions and partake in Club activities. The club supports both adult and youth Theater on Ice teams.

Our HISTORY

The Bolton Figure Skating Club, formally known as the Storrs FSC, was founded in February, 1968. The location of the Club then was the University of Connecticut, Storrs. Due t the reconstruction of outdoor ice and declining membership, the Storrs Club was moved to the Bolton Sports Center in October, 1985.

The Bolton Figure Skating Club no longer sponsors ice at U-Conn and has no association with the University or the programs currently being sponsored at that location. The Boloton FSC operates solely out of the Bolton Sports Center. (Now the Bolton Ice Palace.) This indoor location as allowed the Club to greatly expand it various programs and enjoy year-round skating.
